3–7 April 2017 | Acting Techniques Intensive Seminar ATIS 2017 PULSAR led by Prof Grzegorz Ziółkowski, assistance by Maciej Zakrzewski at the Universidad de Playa Ancha, Valparaíso, Chile

THE PULSAR was a theatre seminar which explored the intersection between theory and practice, between ethics, craft and creation.

It included:

• two lectures by Prof Grzegorz Ziółkowski: Studio Tradition in the European Theatre Practice (3 April, 7 pm) and Cruel Theatre of Self-immolations (7 April, 12 pm, midday);

• work sessions focused on: rhythms, the flow, partnership-in-action, text and the composition From Stars to Silence

and culminated in THE SHARING – an open summary of work (7 April, 7 pm).

THE PULSAR was organized upon invitation from Giulio Ferretto Salinas (director of Departamento de Artes Escénicas at Facultad de Arte, Universidad de Playa Ancha, Valparaíso, Chile) and Claudio Santana Bórquez.

It was carried out with support from Grzegorz Ziółkowski’s project Self-immolation in Contemporary Culture: Act-Performance, sponsored by the National Science Centre, Poland (programme OPUS 6, decision: DEC-2013/11/B/HS2/02873).

Grzegorz Ziółkowski delivered a lecture Cruel Theatre of Self-immolations (within the framework of a project supported by the National Science Centre, Poland) and led – assisted by Maciej Zakrzewski – a work session Acting Techniques. The visit was supported by the Embassy of Republic of Poland in Santiago.

From 26 September – 4 October 2016 STUDY || ROSA presented its Duet ON SILENCE (TAZM Silence of Light and HEART Silence of Polygon) in Sfântu Gheorghe, Miercurea Ciuc and Cluj in Romania as part of KaravanAct theatre festival, organized by Shoshin Theatre Association. During the festival Csongor Köllő (actor) performed A Small House for the Dead directed by Grzegorz Ziółkowski with viola da gamba music played alive by Soma Salat-Zakariás. From 29 August – 3 September 2016 Grzegorz Ziółkowski and Csongor Köllő led a practical seminar The Boat organized by Shoshin Theatre Association in Kide village near Cluj in Romania. Please see the details: THE BOAT.

From 16–18 June 2016 Grzegorz Ziółkowski led a practical seminar The Stone in Espai Blanc, Performing Arts Lab, Barcelona, Catalonia. On 18 June Andrea Madrid Mora presented there her acting miniature Veronica’s Double directed by Grzegorz Ziółkowski. Please see the details: ATIS STONE
